About Us

Bronx Health REACH (BHR), a community coalition led by the Institute for Family Health, was founded in 1999 with the goal of eliminating racial and ethnic health disparities in the Bronx. The community coalition of more than 80 organizational members, including: advocacy groups, health care providers, schools, community and faith-based organizations, small businesses and city agencies, employs a community-based and community driven effort to realize its stated goal.

BHR focuses on implementing community-informed evidence-based strategies to improve nutrition and physical activity, increasing the rates for flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, and promotes policy and system changes that leads to community transformation.
