Sexual and Reproductive Health Care
The Institute for Family Health is here to meet the reproductive and sexual health needs of people of all ages, regardless of sexual orientation or identity. You will find a safe and supportive environment where you can get the care you need. Your care team will give you options, information – and no judgement—so you can make the right decisions for your health.
We offer many options, including:
- Same-day IUD insertion and/or removal
- Same-day implant insertion and/or removal
- Other birth control like the pill, patch, ring, depo shot and condoms
- Emergency contraception (Plan B or Ella)
Reproductive health services are confidential. Even if you are under 18, your parent or guardian’s permission is not required.
You can get tested for sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) at many of our health centers.
At our health centers, we can test for:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis
- HIV (rapid testing available)
- Hepatitis A and B
Your provider will help you determine whether you need a specific test and help you make a plan for how to get one. If you need treatment, we can either treat you directly or make a referral.
Both treatment and prevention for HIV/AIDS are available at the Institute for Family Health, as well as specialized support for those who are living with HIV.

We provide options counseling and full spectrum early pregnancy care management.
We provide:
- HPV vaccinations which can prevent cervical cancer
- Cervical cancer screening, including PAP tests and colposcopy as needed.
